CNET wrote an excellent article on how to locate the ability to email a text to your phone's number depending on the carrier, which is helpful both for reaching those who don't check emails frequently on a regular basis or who take off. It's also helpful when wanting to receive important emails very quickly if you don't check your phone every time you receive an email. While I won't reinvent the wheel here, it's important to note:
Whenever texting someone else (i.e. me) with an email, be sure to CC their main email address, especially if including hyperlinks and pictures that may not come through to their text messaging.
If looking to email a text to me, email 7578799651@tmomail.net & CC agarrett@ggrva.com
See CNET's instructions if trying to locate how to text your own phone.
